Support for staff – Support through Change
Aim
To enable attendees to understand the need for change and to recognise their own and others’ responses at different stages, enabling them to support themselves and others through change.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Describe the drivers for change
- Support self and others through the change curve
- Begin to choose helpful responses through the change process
- Adopt practises to support you throughout the change and afterwards
Approach
The workshop focuses on psychological and emotional factors in change for self and others. Participants will be asked to reflect on and share their behaviours and underpinning beliefs.
The course is highly participative and involves both individual and group work, with participants being asked to relate theory to their own situation. Participants will have the opportunity to formulate action plans to implement after the completion of the day.
